Operation S.A.F.E. (Self-regulating Application & Flight Efficiency), developed in 1981, was designed to clearly demonstrate that ag aviation recognizes its responsibility to minimize the potential for adverse health and environmental effects of agricultural chemical application.

2026 Operation S.A.F.E Pattern Testing Fly-In

The NCAAA will hold an Operation S.A.F.E. pattern testing fly-in Saturday, April 11th 2026 at Donald's Airpark (7NC) in Plymouth, NC. Pattern testing is open to members and non-members with a fee of $300/per aircraft/helicopter/UAV. Pattern analysis will be provided by Dr. Scott Bretthauer of the NAAA. Testing to begin around 9A.M.
