OPERATION S.A.F.E.
Operation S.A.F.E. (Self-regulating Application & Flight Efficiency), developed in 1981, was designed to clearly demonstrate that ag aviation recognizes its responsibility to minimize the potential for adverse health and environmental effects of agricultural chemical application.

2026 Operation S.A.F.E Pattern Testing Fly-In
The NCAAA will sponsor an Operation S.A.F.E. pattern testing fly-in Spring of 2026 (dates tbd - weather depending). It will be hosted by Donalds Flying Service at Donald's Air Park (7NC) in Plymouth, NC. Two days of pattern testing will be offered, all fixed-wing, helicopter, and UAV platforms are encouraged to participate.
